Pictured Rocks National Park

On the 31st we were at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the upper peninsula.

Our first stop was to pick up the Junior Ranger books and hike to a waterfall. It was chilly enough for Little Bit to wear her unicorn jacket :)

We also went to see the "log slide" where the loggers used to slide the logs down to the lake for shipping.

One of my favorite stops was 12 Mile Beach. This is the top of the stairs going down to the beach.

When we got down to the lakeshore it was all agates! Not as comfortable to walk on as sand, but SO pretty!

Once we left the beach it was time to go for our boat ride out to the actual rock cliffs the park is named for. I'll post those pictures in a separate post but will finish this one with the big bear that lived in the cruise company's gift shop.
